Glastonbury 2018

Mists of Avalon over the levels, August

This year I was in Glastonbury doing various housesits throughout the year. Back with Madhavi the cat on Tor View Ave. And whilst there, I would sometimes clean at Healing Waters Retreat again. I was also hosting ‘Lemuria Rising’ Groups at the Isle of Avalon Foundation.

That summer a friend from NZ, Irene came to stay at two housesits. As this was her first visit to Glastonbury, and so we went to many places. One evening we went to a fireside circle by the side of the Tor. The Kryon convention was in town then too. Amazing coincidence, the time she went up the tor, lots of Kryonites were up there. I had discovered Kryon from Irene’s bookshelf, and the information that Kryon brings has been pivotal for me.

There were many Lemuria Rising Groups that year. And I also hosted one by myself, which was a milestone. On the Solstice group, Irene drove through, and just made it on time. Madhavi, was travelling from Hawaii with her harp, so she played for the group too. She came to stay at the housesit too.

Around Beltane, I housesat with Storm the dog. And Ellen came to stay too.

July, Anneke and I would go up Wearyal Hill and see the sunsets too. Looking out over the horizon the sun would set over Brent Knoll in the distance.

It was really hot, I swum in the River Brue, not sure if it was a good idea.

Another house sit was In Wick Hollow, with a dog called Damson. Damson was such a joy, and I really loved her. I loved the house and the surrounds in which to walk her. The house was close to the Tor, with lovely back lanes to walk down. She was a lurcher. She was a rescue dog, had been mistreated, she was shy around people. She was gentle, and the way I think of her was ladylike in nature. She was picky in whom she wanted to be with.

Michou, whom I was pet sitting for in Wick Hollow, with her partner Glynnis. She had quite a tale to tell about her house, in that she has brought it three times! The last time, she said the Real Estate man contacted her. He said ‘I have a place I think you should view. It’s got you written all over it’. And she looked at the listing and said ‘yes I used to own it, not once but twice’! So she brought it again, it seems she was supposed to live there.

We went to Cheddar Gorge one day with Anneke, Beth and Darpan. Damson just loved it and ran really fast around and around.

22 Aug 2018, I took Damson for a walk and said goodbye to her in the morning. The next house sitter was going to take over, they took a bit longer to turn up that day. My friend Anneke picked me up and saw me off the bus stop. On this day, I was bussing up to Liverpool. I was leaving Glastonbury again on a big journey back to New Zealand. I thought I would be returning the next summer when I wrote this…

Quietly sneaking out the back door, enroute to Liverpool. Its been immense, living in the washing machine that is Glastonbury, pushing one always ever closer to your own clarity. I leave now feeling clearer and ready for this next journey… in two months time I will be back in New Zealand. See you next summer!! I have enjoyed reacquainting with the land and peeps there, ah the sunsets on Wearyal Hill. Once again immersing with the waters of Avalon, submerging in order to emerge.

Still not returned… !
